Dancing Through Life's Lessons: Live a Passionate Life

Happy July everyone. Only twenty-five more days until I am TWENTY. I seriously have a hard time fathoming that fact. I've dreamt of being in my twenties all my life and now it's almost here. I hope you all are doing well. I unfortunately, have a Grade II ankle sprain and Achilles Tendonitis and am back in a cast again with crutches, of course. Just my luck. Doesn't meant I can't enjoy my summer. I am having a lovely time working from home, binge watching TV and sleeping.
Today, I am going to teach you how to live a life full of passion. And when I say passion, I don't mean it in a sexual manner. I mean that living life with passion is a lifestyle and I have seven steps on how to achieve that. So let's begin!

1. Always find out what your passion is.

Your passion keeps your heart beating. It gives you room to breathe and space to relax - truly an inspiring gift to your soul.

To live a life full of passion, you must find out what it is that you're passionate about. Take a trip down memory lane and try to remember what you were vividly passionate about as a kid. Something that you could spend hours on without feeling lonely and what made you feel proud of achieving as a kid. And as you grow older you may feel overwhelmed with the responsibilities as an adult and this passion is what can help you take a break from adulthood. Your passion will always be without and if you really love this thing, you will always make time for it. And if you're one of the lucky ones, like me, you can successfully turn your passion into a career.
I am turning my childhood/adolescence passion of dance and my adulthood passion of psychology in to one career. A dance movement psychotherapist.

2. Get obsessed with your passion.

You see the world through this passion - this is the only way you can live and the only way for you to really enjoy life.

Once you've uncovered what your passion is, become an expert at it, even if you start at the beginner or amateur level. Give it all you've got and more. Get to know it inside and out until you eat, sleep and breathe this passion of yours. Your passion becomes a huge part of who you are - it's part of your identity. It is something you are proud to call an interest as it helps build up your self-image and self-esteem.  It's like magic when you find people who are just as passionate about this thing as you are. Your eyes light up when you talk about it, you're energetic and enthusiastic about it. Even when your body is tired, your soul tells you to keep going. You can never imagine living a life without this thing.
Dance was my everything, especially in secondary school. And it absolutely crushed me during the times that dance was taken away from me because of injuries. But when I got older it became easier for my soul to mend from loosing and gaining and loosing and gaining this passion for dance I have. It was easy because I also became passionate about psychology. And just because I can't take ballet classes any more doesn't mean I can't dance. Doing a full barre is part of my PT for my ankle injury.

3. Be open-minded and curious.

You love meeting new interesting people who live with passion and are curious to learn more. The world contains limitless opportunities and the path of discovery just never ends.

Live your live with your arms and mind wide open to opportunities, especially in the field of your passion. Listen and understand what others have to say, don't judge. By being open minded you get to learn and experience more which will shape your perspective so you see things from all angles and to find beauty in different things. Your inspiration is fueled by your curiosity. Your creativity is driven by your desire to learn.

4. Be spontaneous.

Jumping out of your comfort zone gives you an adrenaline rush. Knowing you have the flexibility and freedom to fly and run wild gives you comfort. Life is fun. So why not embrace it and be a little unpredictable, right?

To live a textbook life is boring as fuck. If you're a planner like I am, keep your plans flexible and open to change. Be ready to jump on the plane at a moments notice. Be willing to say yes to things that might scare you shitless. You never know what crazy awesome adventures you will find if you're spontaneous.

5. Love fully and deeply.

Mediocrity and dull are not in your dictionary. It is to love passionately or not at all.

Your passion in life goes beyond the surface of your main interest. Your passion seeps in to all aspects of your life including love. Love fully and deeply with a passion. Don't let life get dry or stale. Always find a way to spice up your love life. This is the only way to feel the emotional side of yourself.

6. Be inspiring

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. ~ Pablo Picasso

Passion is contagious and the only way to be truly fulfilled is to inspire others. As your passion gives your life purpose and meaning, it would be a shame to keep what you know and what you experience to yourself. This is why I write this blog, is to share all my passions and experiences with you. This is also why I talk so openly about my mental health. If I don't talk, who will? If not now, when?
You want to inspire other to feel better about life and themselves. You want o inspire others to do more, be more and achieve more. At the end of the day, to feel uninspired and hopeless is the worst feeling ever. As you are someone who lives life with passion and finds happiness and life's joy through it (or someone who will at the end of this post), you want others to feel the same way.

7. Travel

To travel is to expand the horizon of where your passion is confined.
The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. ~ St. Augustine

Whatever your passion is, there are people all over the world who have the same passion as yours and might know different tricks of the trade based on their location, culture etc. The beauty of traveling for your passion is to learn new perspectives. Only then can you truly appreciate the difference, to perceive things from the angles you haven't seen, and to experience things you haven't done. The perspective of a ballet dancer in London at the Royal Ballet might be different form a ballet dancer in America at the New York City Ballet. It's different because the method of ballet used at both companies are so different. And that's what makes life so interesting. So go out there, travel and get a new take on this passion of yours.

Always go with your passions.
Never ask yourself if it's
realistic or not.
